Compare two specific offers for the same watch before deciding between VSF and Clean. Begin with the model, size, dial, bezel and bracelet you want, then examine the proposed versions and the evidence supplied for each. This page is a buying checklist. It does not present a tested winner: no pair of current units has been inspected for this handbook. Its purpose is to help you turn a broad factory comparison into an answer that applies to your order. ## Fix the configuration before comparing factories For a Datejust comparison, write down the case size, dial colour, bezel style and bracelet. If you want a VSF Datejust with a particular combination, use that same combination when requesting the other offer. Keep the seller's factory label, version description and movement designation in separate fields. “Latest version” needs a specific explanation of what changed and which offer it describes. Differences in lighting, white balance, camera distance and angle can exaggerate a contrast in dial colour or finishing. If the two albums are difficult to compare, request the missing equivalent view. Separate stock images from the proposed unit's QC photos. Stock material may explain the advertised configuration; the actual album should answer what is being offered for your order. Do not infer an internal movement or material specification solely from the exterior. ## Set two or three priorities Choose the details that matter most to you before examining small differences. Your priorities might be the requested dial and bracelet, acceptable case dimensions, or a clearly documented after-sales process. Write those priorities above the comparison. If a concern relates to a feature you have already said matters, ask for clarification. If it comes from an unclear photograph, improve the evidence before deciding. This keeps a long discussion of factory reputation from replacing your own requirements. ## A Datejust comparison example Fictional scenario: a buyer requests a 41 mm blue-dial model with a fluted bezel and Jubilee-style bracelet. Offer A matches those choices but does not state whether extra bracelet links are available. Offer B includes a clear sizing answer, but its supplied album shows an Oyster-style bracelet. Neither offer is ready for a direct comparison. Ask seller A about the links and seller B for the requested bracelet configuration. Compare the updated quotations and albums once both answer the original request. The aim is to identify the specific version and seller that can meet the configuration and terms you have chosen. ## What about a Submariner or another model? Use the same process, but change the inspection questions to match the design. For a rotating-bezel model, the bezel's operation may be part of the requested demonstration. For a watch without a date display, date-wheel questions are irrelevant. For a different bracelet system, ask for the views and sizing information that apply to it. Do not carry a conclusion about one Datejust comparison into a different model without new evidence. Factory labels organise the discussion; the proposed unit and agreement determine what you are evaluating.
